What brought you to The Woodlands and to Lifetime Eyecare Associates in particular? I have lived in The Woodlands for two years and Lifetime Eyecare Associates with its updated approach to optometry has given me the opportunity to provide my services to the community I live in.
How did you become interested in optometry? I was always interested in health related careers but wanted a profession in which I could help people and still have time to be with my family, optometry provided me a perfect balance.
Where did you go to Optometry school? I went to Inter American University School of Optometry in Puerto Rico.
What do you like most about the work you do? Helping people getting back the vision they need, make patients aware about prevention and treat ocular diseases to restore to health what I think it is the most important sense of all.
What interests or excites you the most in the field of optometry? Different modalities of contact lens fitting and treatment of ocular diseases. It is rewarding to be able to help people in their specific needs.
What trends do you see developing over the next several years in the industry and how do you stay ahead of them? With the technology always changing we will have new demands for patients wellbeing and the need for better lenses, better diagnostic tools and the challenge to satisfy individual and specific needs. Being part of optometric associations, continued education and colleague interaction helps staying ahead of changes.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I love to spend time with my family and friends and take care of orchids.
